Red White and Blue... and Pink!

Here is one of my most recent projects, it was inspired by a dress that I saw at H&M.  I used a blouse  as a pattern and just extended the length.  This is my first time making sleeves and I'm so excited that I didn't manage to mess that up :)  .... although the fabric is very form fitting and I did make it a little too short for my comfort level, so I mainly find myself wearing this as a shirt :(   ....  but that's O.K. I'm going to give this dress another try with a different type of fabric, stay tuned!

  7. Wow you made that?? Crazy. I am so jealous of your sewing skills. I am a way beginner. Is that belt from forever21?? I think I have one exactly like yours. The red from the belt really makes the dress stand out.

  8. Thank You Elysse, this was easier than it looks. The most challenging part were the sleeves. And yes that belt is from forever21 :)
